Banke. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel said that the Federal Education Act could not be passed due to the obstruction of the parliament by the opposition.

He asserted that his plan was to solve the long-standing problems in the education sector one after the other.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Center Nepal Banke Branch, Minister for Education and Science Technology and influential leader of the Maoist Center Debendra Poudel (Sunil) claimed that the MCC pass with explanatory declaration had given a way out to the country.

He said the alliance with the MCC pass with an explanatory announcement had paved the way for a three-tier election, adding that the MCC had given the country a way out.

Minister Poudel, who arrived in Nepalgunj to inaugurate the National General Assembly to be held in Nepalgunj from Sunday, also claimed that the MCC would not go beyond the national interest.

Responding to a question from a media person about the possibility of a split in the Maoists due to the MCC, he claimed that the issue would be discussed in depth at the ongoing Central Committee meeting but there would be no split in the party. He said that the party would move forward in a united manner with the dissenting opinion of some friends. He said that although he was trying to bring the Education Act as soon as possible after becoming the Minister, it was not possible due to the obstruction of the Parliament.

Stating that they are working by formulating a 55-point education reform action plan, Minister Poudel informed that they are working together for the development of physical infrastructure and enhancement of quality. He informed that the development of physical infrastructure of 4,200 community schools and construction of computer labs in 2,000 schools has progressed this year alone.

He informed that the relief teachers who have been working for a long time will be made permanent from the internal competition and otherwise they will be dismissed with a golden offer.

It was informed that a policy is being formulated to regulate and develop madrasa education, gurukula education and gumba education.
