Five days journalism training completed

Banke. A five-day journalism training organized by the Center for the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights (Huripop) with the support of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan Ward No. 6 has been completed on Tuesday.

Speaking at the concluding program, the Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolis Dr. Dhawal Shamsher Rana urged to write news focusing on facts. "Journalism is about exposing the truth," he said.

He was of the opinion that one should go to different places and search for different facts. "Journalists should not be lazy to find out the facts," he said. The facts may not come out until you reach the relevant place. For that, you have to reach the place. 'He also expressed sorrow over the recent decline in interest in journalism. He said that there are various opportunities to work hard as this is a respected area.

He said that the field of journalism has been becoming professional lately and this would contribute a lot in the transformation of the society. He suggested that women should focus on journalism as there are less women than men in the field of journalism. He also wished a happy Women's Day.

Speaking at the concluding program of the training, Ward Chairman of Nepalgunj-4 Mohammad Safiq Behna said that it was good to increase the number of journalists and added that the local government should be serious in making skilled journalists. After the participants requested the Mankari ward chairperson to arrange training for up to 10 days, he immediately expressed his commitment to provide financial support for conducting the training on his own behalf.

In the program, ward members of Nepalgunj-6, Deepak Shrestha and Suresh Kumar Soni had said that the field of journalism would be given priority if they get the leadership of the ward.

At the program, Suryalal Yadav, a member of the Cancer Hospital, wished the new entrants good luck and fearless journalism.

Niraj Gautam, a trainer and senior journalist of the same training, said, "What you have learned, you should put into practice.

Fifteen people have been trained in the program. The participants of the training said that they have learned many things related to journalism in 5 days and they want to join the profession of journalism in the coming days.

Participants Abdul Aziz and Saraswati Shrestha shared their experiences of the training. The closing ceremony of the training was presided over by Alam Khan, President of the Center for Protection and Promotion of Human Rights. On the other hand, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 6, Laptop Repair House, Hadiya Baba Mandir Ashram, Ramesh Bhandari and others were honored for their support in conducting the training and Bhadra Bahadur Oli was also given a certificate. Ward member of Nepalgunj-6, RPP leader Rabi Burma and others were present in the closing ceremony.
