Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chairman Rajendra Lingden has met former Chairman Kamal Thapa.

Chairman Lingden visited Thapa's house. This is the first meeting between Lingden and Thapa after the RPP's unity convention.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony of newly appointed office bearers and department heads at the party's central office on Sunday, Chairman Lingden said that he had met Thapa on Saturday.

"The country is feeling the need for RPP. With the party's agenda of monarchy and Hindu Rashtra restoration becoming more and more popular, RPP is embarking on a new journey, 'said Chairman Lingden.

He said that the meeting with the outgoing chairman Kamal Thapa was held only on Saturday in an effort to this end.

Linden defeated Thapa at the RPP's unity convention last December, and Thapa was dissatisfied with Nirmal Niwas's interference in the convention.
